The Sachem North Girls Soccer team is using the game to make a difference through its upcoming Kicks for Cancer Pink Out on October 1 at 4:30 p.m. at the Sachem North turf.
The team will take on Connetquot in a special matchup dedicated to raising awareness and support for those impacted by cancer.
Throughout the event, donations will be accepted, and fans will also have a chance to win door prizes at halftime. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kicks for Cancer organization.
By hosting the Pink Out, Sachem North is giving its student-athletes an opportunity to use their platform for more than competition. The event brings players, families, and fans together around an important cause while helping raise funds and awareness.
The initiative is another example of how high school athletics can inspire compassion, strengthen community connections, and make an impact far beyond the field.
