The Huskies made their Homecoming Week about more than school spirit, using the celebration as an opportunity to support others and make a meaningful community impact.
During the week’s Powderpuff event, students raised $800 and collected an impressive 425 pounds of food to donate.
The effort brought students together around a shared goal while showing how school traditions can also become opportunities for service and giving back.
The group also held its kickoff meeting, welcoming students and preparing for the year ahead. Those who missed the first meeting will have another opportunity to get involved at the next gathering on October 8, when the group will take part in its first service project.
With a strong start to the year, the Huskies are already showing how teamwork, school spirit, and community service can go hand in hand.
