The Lakeville North Girls and Boys Soccer programs are coming together for a special Red Card Cancer Night, using the game they love to help raise awareness and support the fight against cancer.
With the girls and boys teams playing back-to-back matches, the event brings Lakeville North student-athletes, families, and fans together around a cause that reaches far beyond the soccer field.
Red Card Cancer Night gives both programs an opportunity to use their platform to show support for individuals and families affected by cancer while encouraging the larger school community to join them in making a difference.
Having both soccer programs participate on the same night also reinforces an important message of unity. While the teams may compete separately during the season, they are coming together around one shared purpose.
Through events like Red Card Cancer Night, Lakeville North student-athletes are showing that athletics can be about more than wins and losses. Sports can also create opportunities to raise awareness, support others, and strengthen connections throughout the community.
