The Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) Brothers recently came together to support inclusion and awareness by participating in the 30th Annual Capital Region Buddy Walk on September 27.
Hosted by the Center for Disability Services and the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, the annual event celebrates the achievements of individuals with Down syndrome while promoting greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusion throughout the community.
By taking part in the Buddy Walk, CBA students had the opportunity to stand alongside families, advocates, and community members in support of a meaningful cause.
Events like the Capital Region Buddy Walk give student-athletes and students the chance to use their presence and school spirit to help raise awareness and show support for others.
For the CBA Brothers, participating in the event was another example of how service and community involvement can extend well beyond the classroom and athletic field.
