The Malden Catholic High School community is coming together this fall through Project Blackout, a school-wide initiative focused on raising awareness and support in the fight against childhood cancer.
Built around the message “One Community. One Team. One Shirt. One Mission. One Goal,” Project Blackout brings multiple Malden Catholic athletic programs together under one shared purpose: to Blackout Childhood Cancer.
Throughout the campaign, several teams are taking part in special Project Blackout games and events, including boys golf, volleyball, girls soccer, football and cheer, field hockey, and boys soccer.
By wearing the same shirt and rallying around the same cause, student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans are showing that their impact can reach far beyond competition.
The initiative also gives different teams across the school the opportunity to support one another while helping bring greater attention to childhood cancer and the families affected by it.
For Malden Catholic, Project Blackout is more than a series of athletic events. It is a powerful example of what can happen when an entire school community comes together around a single mission — using teamwork, school spirit, and service to make a difference.
