The Uxbridge Field Hockey program is dedicating two special games this season to something much bigger than the final score — supporting children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
On September 24 and September 29, the Spartans are taking the field in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness, using their games as an opportunity to raise awareness and rally the school community around an important cause.
As part of the initiative, the team has set a goal of raising $1,000 for Fight Like a Kid (FLAK).
By combining competition with fundraising and awareness, Uxbridge Field Hockey is showing how student-athletes can use their platform to make a positive impact beyond athletics.
The two-game initiative also gives players, families, and supporters an opportunity to come together around a shared mission and stand with those whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer.
For the Spartans, these games represent more than field hockey. They are an opportunity to compete with purpose, support an important organization, and demonstrate the difference a team can make when it rallies behind a cause.
