The Xaverian Brothers High School soccer program is once again using the game to support families impacted by breast cancer through its annual Play for Runway initiative.
On October 22, Xaverian will partner with St. John’s Prep for a special match benefiting Runway for Recovery, an organization that supports families who have experienced the impact of breast cancer.
As the teams enter Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the annual event gives student-athletes an opportunity to compete for something bigger than the final score while helping raise funds and awareness for families facing cancer.
Supporters can also contribute directly to Xaverian’s fundraising efforts leading up to the game.
Through the continued Play for Runway tradition, Xaverian and St. John’s Prep are showing how high school athletics can bring communities together, honor those impacted by breast cancer, and provide meaningful support to families who need it.
