The Blackstone Valley Tech Girls Soccer team recently came together for a cause much bigger than the game, rallying around 13-year-old Giuliana as she courageously battles Ewing Sarcoma.
With the message, “Today we play for you, today we are strong for G,” the team dedicated its efforts to Giuliana, surrounding her and her family with love, encouragement and support.
Through the initiative, the BVT Girls Soccer team raised more than $1,300 in Giuliana’s honor, while also sending an important message that she does not have to face this fight alone.
The players showed how the power of a team can extend far beyond the soccer field. By coming together for Giuliana, they demonstrated compassion, strength and the impact student-athletes can make when they rally behind someone in their community.
Their support reflected the mission of Fight Like a Kid perfectly: no child fights alone. 💛🎗️
The BVT Girls Soccer team’s efforts are another inspiring example of student-athletes using sports to lift others up and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them.
