About:
The Dedham High School Girls Volleyball team brought a special purpose to the court on October 16, hosting Dig Pink Night during its matchup against Ashland High School.
Held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event provided an opportunity for the Marauders to bring student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans together in support of those affected by breast cancer.
Marauders Come Together for a Cause
Dig Pink Night highlights how high school athletics can serve as a platform for raising awareness and bringing communities together around an important cause.
For Dedham’s volleyball program, the evening was about more than competition. It was an opportunity to demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and support for individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.
By participating in this initiative, the Marauders helped bring attention to breast cancer awareness while showing that student-athletes can make a difference beyond the volleyball court.
Making an Impact Beyond the Court
Events like Dig Pink Night remind us that the lessons learned through athletics extend far beyond wins and losses. Through teamwork, leadership, and community involvement, student-athletes have the ability to inspire others and make a positive impact.
