As a culminating schoolwide community service activity, students and staff at Central Boulevard Elementary School in the Bethpage Union Free School District held a donation drive to benefit Birthday Wishes of Long Island.
The drive yielded boxes of supplies including wrapping paper, banners, board games, party hats and table clothes. The fundraiser was coordinated as part of the Thoughtful Thursday program which reinforces the school’s message of CBS: Character Builds Success. The program is facilitated by social worker Sarah Glassman and second-grade teacher Patricia Tierney.
