About:
Leadership isn’t limited to competition—it’s also about showing up for others. Recently, the Hudson Falls Varsity Reads program made a meaningful stop at the KC, bringing together student-athletes and younger students for a powerful moment of connection.
Members of the Hudson Falls Indoor Track Team and Girls Basketball Team volunteered their time to participate in the program, visiting with elementary students and serving as positive role models. Despite a busy testing week, the student-athletes made giving back a priority, demonstrating commitment, responsibility, and pride in their school community.
Through Varsity Reads, older students have the opportunity to engage with younger Tigers, fostering a love of learning and building relationships that strengthen school culture. The presence of high school athletes left a lasting impression, showing elementary students the importance of perseverance, kindness, and leading by example.
Initiatives like Varsity Reads reflect the strong sense of community within the Hudson Falls Central School District, where students at all levels are encouraged to support one another. By stepping into leadership roles and connecting with younger peers, these student-athletes continue to make a positive impact beyond the classroom and the court.
