About:
Students at Islip Middle School proved that leadership is rooted in service as the National Junior Honor Society successfully wrapped up its winter Coat Drive, helping ensure community members stay warm during the coldest months of the year.
Throughout the drive, NJHS students went beyond collecting donations. They rolled up their sleeves to sort, box, and prepare coats, taking ownership of every step of the process and demonstrating what it means to lead by example. Their hands-on involvement turned a simple donation effort into a meaningful service experience.
The initiative reflects the strong culture of compassion and civic responsibility within Islip Union Free School District, where students are encouraged to look out for one another and give back to their neighbors.
