“Thankful for the group of young men in the CA Boys Basketball Program. Grades 7-12 brought in over 100 Thanksgiving food items to be donated to our CA Community Families in need. Working hard ON and OFF the court! Truly, ACTION > WORDS ”
During our open gym sessions, Grades 7-12, were asked to bring in 2 items for Thanksgiving to help our community. We ran the donation drive internally for 3 weeks. We have between 40 and 50 kids participate every week, multiple times. We were able to collect over 120 items which were donated through SimCo (The same company that took the CA Academy Can drive items). Our motto this year is , Action > Words. We used this as an opportunity to put that motto into action. The kids stepped up and did a great job.
