About:

Northside School in Levittown held its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive with the help of the teachers, staff, students student athletes and their families. The efforts of head custodian, Bob Mehm, school nurse Cara Rutzel, social worker Samantha Romano, Principal Frank Mortillaro, the Helping Hands Committee comprised of teachers and teacher Theresa Heaney and her students all contributed to its success.

Hundreds of assorted food items were donated by the Northside community and sorted by Mrs. Heaney and her class. Turkeys and gift cards were purchased through the donations of the Northside faculty and staff and presented to 12 families. The children learned the satisfaction of caring for and giving to others through this coordinated effort.
