February 3 is National Wear Red Day and both students and staff at Susan E. Wiley and Great Neck Road elementary schools in the Copiague School District wore the color red to raise awareness and show support for the American Heart Association. The AHA’s Go Red for Women Campaign helps raise awareness about heart disease, the number one killer of women, causing one in three deaths each year. Through their collaborative efforts, more than $600 was raised for the organization.
