The Acton-Boxborough Regional High School Football program brought its school community together for a meaningful evening, combining Tackle Cancer Night and Senior Night during a home matchup against Newton South.
The Revolution celebrated an impressive 55–14 victory, but the evening represented more than a win on the scoreboard. It was an opportunity to raise awareness for individuals and families affected by cancer while recognizing the dedication of the school’s senior football players and cheerleaders.
Revolution Rally for Tackle Cancer Night
Acton-Boxborough’s Tackle Cancer Night highlighted the important role high school athletics can play in bringing communities together to support meaningful causes.
The special event encouraged student-athletes, families, and fans to recognize those who are currently battling cancer, celebrate survivors, and remember loved ones lost to the disease.
For the Revolution, the evening served as another opportunity to demonstrate that some of the most important moments in sports extend beyond competition.
Continuing a Tradition of Community Support
Tackle Cancer has been an important initiative for the Acton-Boxborough athletic community.
In previous years, the school’s Football and Cheer programs have participated in fundraising and awareness activities benefiting the American Cancer Society, including special events that brought younger students and families into the celebration.
These past efforts have helped establish a tradition of using athletics to support cancer awareness and encourage community involvement.
This year’s Tackle Cancer Night continued that spirit of unity, bringing the Acton-Boxborough community together around an important cause.
Honoring Senior Football Players and Cheerleaders
The evening also included a special celebration recognizing Acton-Boxborough’s senior football players and cheerleaders.
Senior Night provided an opportunity to acknowledge the student-athletes’ dedication, leadership, and contributions to their respective programs.
The Revolution capped off the celebration with a commanding 55–14 victory over Newton South, making it a memorable evening for the seniors, their families, and the entire school community.
