About:
The Albany Chapter of the National Honor Society continues to shine through their commitment to community service and leadership. This fall, members once again participated in the Minnesota Adopt-a-Highway Program, taking time to clean the ditches along their designated stretch of road in Albany. After completing their hard work, the students celebrated their successful clean-up with a well-earned treat at the Albany Dairy Queen.
In addition to keeping their community beautiful, NHS members recently hosted a Pink Out Volleyball Night, raising an impressive $1,500 for the INDY Foundation, which supports Minnesota cancer warriors and their families.
Next up, the students will carry on one of their favorite annual traditions — Trick-or-Treating for local food shelves this Halloween. Each year, the event results in over a ton of food collected for neighbors in need.
Their passion for helping others truly embodies the National Honor Society’s core values of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. As their advisor proudly shared, “My students are driven to serve and take care of others. We are excited about the community impact we can create!”
