About:
Under a beautiful sunny sky, the students of Archer Street Elementary School gathered outside as they participated in Project ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) to help raise $1,300 for the Freeport Educational Foundation.
During the annual event, students from every grade level went outside on the playground and exercised together. Gym teachers started off with stretches and a warmup dance. After the warmup, students and staff walked around the school building holding signs they made for the event and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Each May, Archer Street School hosts their Project ACES fundraiser in conjunction with Project ACES which aims to increase physical activity in children and help celebrate National Physical Fitness and Sports Month along with National Physical Education Week.
