About:

Freeport Public Schools’ Archer Street Elementary School kicked off the Thanksgiving holiday with the school’s annual Turkey Trot. The event had students from first through fourth grade walk two laps around the school building wearing festive crowns, hats and displaying Thanksgiving themed-signs.

During the school’s Turkey Trot, Island Harvest was presented with a check for $2,020. Principal Paula Lein thanked the students for their hard work and thanked Island Harvest for all they do for the Freeport community and across Long Island to help families in need.
