About:
As part of a longstanding tradition and its ongoing commitment to altruism and community service, Archer Street School in the Freeport Public School District hosted its annual “Giving Tree” food drive.
Over the course of two weeks, students and staff members donated nonperishable food items, paper goods and utensils, and filled approximately 25 boxes that were delivered to the Holy Redeemer Church in Freeport. Each student and staff member who donated an item had a leaf with their name hung on a Giving Tree in the school’s Literacy Hallway.
