Members of the Arlington varsity girls basketball team recently demonstrated their commitment to service by volunteering with Hope on a Mission in Poughkeepsie, helping provide meals for individuals experiencing homelessness in the local community.
During the service initiative, the student-athletes worked together to prepare 130 sandwiches and 40 snack packs, ensuring that those in need would have access to food and support. The hands-on experience allowed players to step off the court and into meaningful community leadership roles, reinforcing the importance of compassion, teamwork, and giving back.
By dedicating their time and energy to this effort, Arlington’s players not only helped meet an immediate community need but also strengthened their bond as a team while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by others.
