About:

The Arlington Student Athletic Council has worked to schedule times for our athletes to go to one of our elementary schools to read and interact as role models to our elementary students.  We have tried to pair high school athletes to the elementary school they attended.  Athletes go in their team jersey and read to students and also interact with them.  It was a program the athletic director asked the principal if they would be interested in and all of them loved the idea.  We have just started and the first set of elementary students were in awe of the older students.  We are looking to foster this into a large program as it has so many positives for our community of learners.  The high school athletes get a lot of positives from the experience as well.

11/15/2022 — Arlington Football’s Joe McGann, Kemar Smith, Jason Finn, and Charlie Mulcahy volunteered to read to some of our elementary school students today. Great to see members of our program willingly contribute to the community that supports them.

11/30/22 — High school Admiral athletes at Arlington reading to students at May elementary school today
