About:
For the 27th year, the students of Freeport Public Schools’ Bayview Avenue Elementary School celebrated the Village of Freeport Police Officers who participate in the school’s Adopt-a-Cop program with a Valentine’s Day luncheon.
Each fourth grade class proudly presented larger than life handmade Valentine’s Day cards and candies to their adopted police officers and expressed their gratitude to the officers for taking their time to teach them about safety, the police force and the different things police officers do for the community of Freeport.
The celebration of the partnership between students and the police officers ended with the fourth grade performing “Freeport’s Finest” and a pizza party for all to enjoy.
