About:
On a Sunday in September, the Bethlehem Central JV Boys Soccer team chose to spend their day off making a meaningful impact in their community by volunteering at the Regional Food Bank in Latham. With an impressive turnout, nearly half the team rolled up their sleeves to sort over two tons of produce, which was then distributed to local food pantries and families in need.
This hands-on effort offered the players valuable insight into the food bank’s operations while reinforcing the team’s dedication to giving back beyond the field. Their work helped ensure that fresh produce would reach families experiencing food insecurity, creating an immediate and positive impact.
The experience left a strong impression, as the players returned to practice feeling accomplished and proud of their contributions. They expressed gratitude for the chance to support their community in such a meaningful way.
A huge thank you to the players and volunteers who made this trip possible, highlighting that community service is as integral to BC Boys Soccer as teamwork and sportsmanship. Great job, BC Boys Soccer!
