About:
Bellport Middle School eighth grade students recently participated in a meaningful community service project focused on spreading holiday cheer to local senior citizens.
As part of the initiative, students wrote heartfelt, handwritten holiday cards filled with kind messages and well wishes. The project was made even more special by a visit from New York State Senator Dean Murray, who spoke with students about the importance of community service and how small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact on others.
The handwritten cards will be delivered to seniors throughout the local community, bringing warmth, connection, and joy during the holiday season. This project serves as a powerful reminder that even simple gestures can make a big difference—and highlights the commitment of Bellport Middle School students to giving back and supporting their community.
