About:
The Bloomfield High School Girls Volleyball program once again turned the court pink — rallying together for their annual “Pink Out” Game in honor of their beloved modified volleyball coach, who is courageously battling breast cancer for the second time.
This year’s event carried special meaning, as their coach — also an elementary school teacher in the district — asked that the team recognize all current staff members who have fought and beaten breast cancer. In a moving tribute, six current district employees were honored as special guests, surrounded by athletes, families, and fans dressed in pink and united in support.
The evening was filled with heart, hope, and community spirit as Bloomfield Volleyball raised over $4,000, with 100% of proceeds donated to two incredible organizations: Embrace Your Sisters and the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
The event was truly a community effort, with 11 varsity players, 15 junior varsity players, 15 modified players, five coaches, and a booster club of four helping bring it all to life. Behind the scenes, a group of dedicated parents and grandparents volunteered their time to keep everything running smoothly — a true reflection of the close-knit Bloomfield family.
Through every serve, dig, and cheer, the Bloomfield athletes reminded everyone that the strength of their program isn’t just measured in wins, but in compassion, courage, and care for one another. Their Pink Out tradition continues to serve as a powerful example of how sports can unite a community and make a meaningful difference.
