About:
The Buffalo Bison Gymnastics team stepped off the competition floor and into service, dedicating time to make a meaningful impact at Feed My Starving Children.
During the 90-minute service project, 14 student-athletes, alongside three coaches and three parent helpers, worked together to pack thousands of meals for children and families facing food insecurity. The meals prepared during the event were sent to Haiti to support communities recovering from recent hurricane devastation.
The hands-on experience reinforced values that extend far beyond gymnastics, teamwork, gratitude, leadership, and the power of giving back. Athletes shared that the experience was not only impactful, but also fun, with several gymnasts calling it one of their favorite memories as a team.
This marked the second consecutive December that Buffalo Bison Gymnastics has participated in this service project, and the team plans to return again in December 2026. Through efforts like this, the Bison gymnasts continue to demonstrate that true success is measured not only by performance, but by character, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference both locally and globally.
