About:
Copiague Middle School’s Builders Club , which includes student athletes, recently participated in two different collections to benefit their local community and those around the world. During November, the club organized a food drive to benefit Island Harvest. Thanks to donations from the entire school community, they collected enough to fill five boxes of goods for local families prior to Thanksgiving.
For the Halloween season, the Builders Club held a raffle for UNICEF to benefit children all over the world. Students bought raffles to guess the number of M&Ms in the jar and a chance to win a night at the movies gift certificate. The club raised $276 to benefit UNICEF.
