In its third consecutive year, Sayville Girls Lacrosse continues its cherished tradition with the Teacher Appreciation game. Students have the chance to nominate educators who have positively impacted their Sayville education journey, inviting them to witness the team’s prowess on the field. Following the game, a heartwarming gathering unfolds, complete with refreshments and photo opportunities, allowing students and teachers to reconnect and reminisce.
Equally significant is the Youth Day celebration, where the K-6 youth program joins the team to show their support. Prior to the game, they enjoy mingling with the Varsity players and partake in pregame festivities, including introductions and the national anthem. Half-time brings a flurry of activity as the youngsters take to the field for shooting drills and mini-game play, fostering a sense of camaraderie and inspiration among future lacrosse stars.
