About:
The spirit of community service is alive and thriving as Kennedy High School’s Baseball and Softball programs kick off their 7th annual mentorship clinics in partnership with Merrick Bellmore Little League (MBLL). This March marks another chapter in this inspiring initiative where high school athletes step into the role of mentors, embodying TeamUp4Community’s mission of youth athletes making a difference.
These clinics represent more than just baseball instruction – they’re a perfect example of our “Inspiration Triangle” in action, where seasoned athletes inspire and guide the next generation of players, creating a lasting impact in our community.
The dedication of Kennedy’s Baseball and Softball players shines through as they volunteer their time and expertise to mentor young MBLL athletes. These high school students aren’t just teaching baseball fundamentals; they’re demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and the importance of giving back to their community.
This long-standing partnership between Kennedy High School and Merrick Bellmore Little League showcases how sports can be a powerful vehicle for community building and youth development. Now in its seventh year, this program continues to strengthen the bonds within our local sports community while creating meaningful mentorship opportunities.
For young athletes in the MBLL program, these clinics offer more than just skill development – they provide role models who demonstrate that success in sports goes hand in hand with community service and leadership.
