For the past nine years, the CHHS Varsity and JV Softball teams have been dedicated to growing the game by hosting youth clinics for students in grades K-6. These clinics provide young athletes with the perfect opportunity to learn the fundamentals of softball in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.
Each participant is paired with a Varsity or JV athlete, ensuring they receive personalized attention and guidance while building their confidence on the field. During the sessions, young players work on essential skills like baserunning, fielding ground balls and fly balls, pitching, catching, hitting, and bunting.
Last week marked the conclusion of another successful year of these K-6 softball clinics. A huge thank you goes out to the future Tiger athletes who participated and to the dedicated Varsity and JV players who served as mentors and coaches. This event, held annually over three Saturdays each March, is a highlight of the season and continues to inspire young athletes in the community.
