About:
This past Saturday, May 3rd, marked a major milestone for Byram Hills Baseball as the program hosted its first-ever “Program Day”—a day filled with baseball, recognition, and a powerful show of community spirit.
The afternoon began with the Junior Varsity game at 1:00 PM, followed by the Varsity showdown at 4:45 PM, both against neighboring rival Briarcliff High School. But beyond the innings and final scores, what truly made the day memorable was the deeper purpose behind the event.
In a show of unity and compassion, Byram Hills and Briarcliff baseball teams partnered to host a “Hope At Bat” fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, joining a national initiative to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, patient support, and advocacy.
Leading up to the event, players from both teams learned about the impact of cancer and the importance of funding research. They took action by sharing the fundraiser page across social media, encouraging their communities to contribute to the cause. You can still support the campaign here:

One of the most moving moments of the day came during a moment of silence, where players from both teams held up banners to honor those they were playing for—family members, friends, and others affected by cancer. It was a powerful tribute that added heartfelt meaning to the day’s competition.
As part of the day’s festivities, Byram Hills also honored its senior players, recognizing their leadership, growth, and dedication to the program. The Senior Day ceremony brought the community together to celebrate not only the players’ athletic achievements, but also their commitment to making a difference off the field.
With passion, purpose, and teamwork, “Program Day” was a grand slam for Byram Hills and Briarcliff Baseball—a true reminder of the power of sport to bring people together for something greater.
