About:
The Cal-Mum Basketball team and Cal-Mum Cheerleading squad brought community spirit and generosity to life during their 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Toss on December 10th. This heartwarming event united players, cheerleaders, and fans in a shared mission to support Camp Good Days, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families impacted by cancer.
Held during halftime of the game against Dansville, the event gave fans an opportunity to bring or purchase teddy bearson-site. With excitement in the air, fans aimed to toss their bears into one of three designated baskets for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses. The court quickly transformed into a sea of plush toys and goodwill, creating a memorable moment for everyone in attendance.
The teddy bears collected were donated as gifts to Camp Good Days and Special Times, spreading joy and smiles to families facing challenges during the holiday season. “We know the holidays can be tough for many families, so we wanted to do something to put a smile on someone’s face,” shared event organizers.
The Teddy Bear Toss has quickly become a beloved tradition in the Cal-Mum community, showcasing how sports can inspire kindness and compassion. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this meaningful cause. Together, we’re making a difference—one teddy bear at a time!
