About:
The Calhoun Girls Volleyball team continues to make a lasting impact both in the community and on the court. The athletes recently spent the afternoon with Calhoun Recreation, sharing their love for volleyball and creating special memories with participants. The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and joy even when a few beach volleyballs were swept away by the wind. The experience sparked interest in the sport and reflected the team’s dedication to giving back.
Soon after, the team turned its focus to a cause close to their hearts with their annual Dig Pink Game against JFK Bellmore to support breast cancer awareness. Both the Varsity and JV teams earned impressive wins, with Varsity defeating JFK Bellmore 3–0. Earlier in the day, the athletes hosted a bake sale at school, raising more than $400 for breast cancer research and support initiatives.
From connecting with their community at Calhoun Recreation to rallying around an important cause, the Calhoun Girls Volleyball program continues to embody teamwork, compassion, and purpose, proving that true champions serve both on and off the court.
