About:
The Canandaigua Academy Baseball program once again delivered a home run with its annual Spring Youth Baseball Clinic. This much-anticipated event brought together JV and Varsity players with young aspiring athletes for a day focused on mentorship, skill development, and community connection.
Led by dedicated high school players and coaches, participants had the chance to sharpen their baseball fundamentals, learn the value of teamwork, and experience the excitement of the sport firsthand. The event’s success was fueled by the commitment of the student-athletes, coaching staff, and supportive families.
Each spring, the clinic serves as a powerful example of student-athletes stepping into leadership roles and giving back to their community. Approximately 30 players from the JV and Varsity teams volunteer their time for the three-hour clinic. Many also extend their efforts throughout the season by assisting with the junior baseball “Skills and Drills” program, working with 4- and 5-year-olds to help foster a love for the game from an early age.
Through initiatives like this, the Canandaigua Academy Baseball program continues to build strong bonds both on and off the field—creating lasting memories and a positive impact that reaches well beyond the diamond.
