Our school district works with a non for profit titled, “The Spot,” which provides snacks and school supplies to students. This event is in conjunction with our Homecoming game.
We blasted the poster and information all over our social media and also hung poster in the local business in our community. The “cost” of admissions to our football game is non-perishable food. We will have the whole community there participation. All of our youth football teams (3rd grade and up) through our high school and Varsity teams will be walking out on the field during introductions at the beginning of the game.
- (The youth teams line up on the field and the Varsity team walks through them as they “low-Five” each other with their hands- It’s a special night for the kids). It really was a wonderful evening and we’re thankful that it helped raise food and sponsorships for children in our schools and local community.
We have drop off locations and a table to Sponsor a child for $5.00 at both of our two entrance for maximum coverage.
- Approximately 325 total children are on our football teams.
- They help by telling friends and family and asking for food donations to be brought to the game night.2
- The cause is important because the kids are very familiar with The Spot and how they helps kids with food to school supplies year round. There are locations in our schools just for The Spot to operate out of.
