Three Village elementary schools once again took part in a spirited “3V SOUPer Bowl Donation” competition to collect nonperishable food items for local organizations.
This year’s competition winners were the students and staff at Minnesauke, who collected 2,122 items but the real winners were the district’s food pantries and Long Island based Blessings in a Backpack, that sends food home to school-age children on the weekends because the district collected more than 6,100 items for these organizations.
