About:
The Carey Lady Seahawks and Plainview JFK Girls Lacrosse teams recently came together for a meaningful game dedicated to Morgan’s Message, helping raise awareness about the importance of mental health within the student-athlete community.
Morgan’s Message is a nonprofit organization focused on eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in athletics while encouraging open conversations and equal treatment of physical and mental wellness among student-athletes.
The game served as an opportunity for both programs to use their platform to support an important cause and remind athletes that mental health matters both on and off the field. Players, coaches, and supporters came together in a powerful show of unity, advocacy, and compassion.
A special thank you was extended to Mrs. Tantillo for serving as a Morgan’s Message ambassador and organizing the event, helping create an impactful experience for everyone involved.
By dedicating their game to mental health awareness, the Carey and Plainview JFK girls lacrosse programs demonstrated the true meaning of leadership, teamwork, and community support while continuing to inspire important conversations among student-athletes across Long Island.
