About:
Carle Place’s Cherry Lane and Rushmore Avenue elementary schools recently hosted their annual ALS Ride For Life event.
Students at both schools made posters and signs and hoisted them up high, as they cheered on the Ride for Life participants. Cherry Lane fundraised $1,120.00 for a chance to win tickets to Adventureland and the winning raffle ticket went to second grader Sal Competello. In addition, the Rushmore Avenue Student Council also raised $3,653.00 for the organization.
The district is proud of the efforts both schools distributed to this worthy cause.
