About:
Students from Center Moriches Middle School recently combined creativity and compassion during a meaningful community service visit to Bideawee Pet Adoption Center.
Members of the school’s Yoga Club and Art Club spent the day painting colorful “Adopt Me” bandanas designed to help shelter and foster dogs stand out as they search for their forever homes. Through their efforts, students used art and service to make a direct impact on animals in need.
During the visit, students also toured the adoption center, visited the cat room, and met Duke, a one-year-old dog currently available for adoption. The experience gave students a firsthand look at the important work being done to care for and place rescue animals with loving families.
The project highlighted the power of student service and compassion while encouraging empathy, community involvement, and kindness toward animals.
A special thank you to Deanna and the entire Bideawee team for creating such a memorable and meaningful experience for the students.
