About:
Students from Central Boulevard Elementary School in the Bethpage School District collected hundreds of nonperishable food items as part of a schoolwide “Kindness Challenge.”
Organized by second grade teacher Lori Holt, each class was encouraged to donate 100 items. Nassau County Legislator Rose Walker presented Mrs. Holt and the students with a certificate commending them on their charitable act. The items will be donated to the Long Island Cares food bank.
