About:
The Chelmsford High School Field Hockey team brought attention to the importance of student-athlete mental health through a special Morgan’s Message Awareness Game, encouraging the school community to come together in support of mental health awareness.
The event, scheduled for 5:30 PM at the stadium, invited students, families, and fans to fill the stands wearing teal, orange, or purple to show their support.
More Than an Athlete: Spreading an Important Message
The initiative highlighted the mission of Morgan’s Message, an organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and encouraging open conversations about mental well-being.
Through the powerful message “Human > Athlete,” Chelmsford Field Hockey reminded fellow student-athletes that their well-being and identity extend far beyond athletic performance.
By bringing mental health awareness onto the field, the team encouraged its school community to recognize the importance of supporting one another both on and off the playing field.
