The Chelmsford High School football program is making a positive impact in its community while helping inspire the next generation of athletes.
Members of the football team recently volunteered at the Chelmsford Community Education Center, where they spent time teaching young participants the fundamentals of football. The players shared their skills, encouraged the younger athletes, and helped create a fun and welcoming environment centered around teamwork and a love of the game.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for Chelmsford’s student-athletes to serve as role models and demonstrate the importance of giving back. By taking the time to work with the “young lions,” the players helped grow the game while building meaningful connections within their community.
The program also recognized students from the Extended School Year program, who helped keep the players hydrated during a hot summer day. Their support added to the strong sense of teamwork and community spirit surrounding the event, with additional lemonade station activities planned for the summer.
Chelmsford Football’s efforts are a great example of how student-athletes can use sports to bring people together, support others, and make a lasting difference.
