About:

Health classes at Hicksville Middle School celebrated World Kindness Day on Nov. 13 with a special activity to visually demonstrate their commitment to kindness. Every student in the school created a special hand to be displayed on a large board in the hallway that reads “Choose Kindness.” Those students not taking health class on Nov. 13 made their hand in their home base periods. The paper hands contain thoughtful messages, showing that every student at Hicksville Middle School understands what it means to be kind.

Discussions were also held centering on kindness and upstanding behavior. While kindness was the theme of the day, students were reminded that kindness is a mindset they should carry with them every day.
