Southwest Christian Richfield Boys Hockey demonstrated that hockey is about more than wins and losses by partnering with CHS Boys Hockey for a special Game Night Toy Drive that brought the community together for a meaningful cause.
Fans were encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy valued at $15 or more in place of admission, helping support children and families during the holiday season. Student-athletes took an active role in promoting the drive and welcoming fans, creating an atmosphere filled with generosity, teamwork, and holiday spirit both on and off the ice. The collaboration highlighted how athletics can unite communities and inspire giving.
In addition to the Toy Drive, Southwest Christian Boys Hockey also participated in a Military Appreciation Night in partnership with Chaska Boys Hockey. While Chaska hosted the home game and coordinated donation boxes and recipient organizations, Southwest Christian families showed strong support by donating toys and making monetary contributions to the effort.
Together, these initiatives served as powerful examples of how high school hockey can make a positive impact—filling the stands while filling hearts, honoring service members, and spreading joy throughout the holiday season.
