About:

The East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School’s Key Club had much success during its Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser last month.

Led by club president Sofia Valdebenito, the members opened up multiple mobile “pop-up shops,” where people were able to buy popcorn digitally. With flavors like caramel to jalapeño, the club was able to amass $6,350 from 116 supporters.

Majority of the funds raised were used to give back to the club’s charities of choice, which included the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
