About:
The CNS Softball program is once again bringing its community together for a meaningful cause through the annual Strike Out ALS Baseball/Softball Classic.
Held at Gillette Softball Fields and Carrier Park, the event raises awareness and funds to support the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The tournament combines competition with compassion, uniting athletes, coaches, families, and fans around a shared mission to make a difference.
This year’s event continues a strong tradition of community impact, with all admission proceeds benefiting the ALS Association. Organizers shared that funds raised will help support ongoing ALS research, patient services, support programs, equipment lending, transportation assistance, and efforts to improve access to care for individuals and families affected by the disease.
The tournament also highlights the power of student-athletes using sports as a platform for service. By hosting events like Strike Out ALS, CNS athletes are helping raise awareness while showing how athletics can inspire compassion, leadership, and community engagement beyond the game.
Community members were encouraged to attend the tournament, support participating teams, and contribute to the ongoing effort to help strike out ALS.
