About:
Thank you from Helen Koshykar
Dear Mr. Simons,
As a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church I‘m extending a very heartfelt thank you to Mr. Leonard, Mr. Harkin, Mr. Jones, Ms. Gansle, and the Girls‘ and Boys‘ Columbia Track Team. These athletes made Columbia Proud last Thursday by sorting, packing up supplies and carrying completed boxes to the semi–truck. It‘s very true that “many hands make light work”. Our church members were in awe of their willingness to do anything they were asked and their stellar behavior. We have been working on shipping out all the donations that have been collected in the Capital District and to date have sent well over 80,000 pounds of much needed Humanitarian Aid. I was very touched when a student approached me and asked if he could meet Father Mikhail because he wanted to “thank him for the opportunity to do this”. The sunflower is the flower of Ukraine and it means peace and optimism. We are optimistic that there will be peace in Ukraine again.
Glory to Ukraine – Glory to our Heroes‘
Sincerely,
Helen Koshykaro
