About:
Our baseball coach’s son was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Our community has come together to support his son, Colt and their family. His mom and dad are also employees of our school. We know that this is a long fight for them so we are helping them the best we can. There are numerous things going on around the community.
-Football team wore orange socks and had stickers made up for their helmets
-Volleyball team had warm up shirts made up saying Colt 45 Strong
-Baseball team has an orange ribbon on their uniforms
-Softball team has a Colt 45 Strong stickers on their batting helmets
-Track team has orange ribbons on their uniforms
-Our school wore orange/yellow for Colt and then spelled out Colt 45 on our football field.
There are many fundraisers going on for Colt and the family
-Hit, Pitch, Run Tournament being put on by Portville Little League
-Local swim teams are putting on a swimathon (Colt is a swimmer for a local swim club)
-Local businesses are selling chances for raffles, selling baked goods, etc.
-Tshirt sales buy a couple businesses
The support for the family has been unbelievable. The money already raised for them and the love shown on Facebook, through texts, phone calls, etc. is heartwarming.
