About:
The Commack Field Hockey program is using its time on the field to make a difference for children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
On Thursday, September 17, the Commack Cougars will host the Bayshore Marauders at Commack Middle School for their “Stick It to Cancer” Childhood Cancer Awareness Field Hockey Game.
The community is encouraged to come out, wear gold—the color of childhood cancer awareness—and cheer on the Commack Field Hockey players as they compete for a cause bigger than the game.
The Varsity game begins at 4:00 PM, followed by JV at 6:00 PM. Throughout the event, attendees will have opportunities to support the cause through raffle baskets, a 50/50, donations, and more.
All proceeds from sales and donations will directly benefit the Daniela Conte Foundation, whose mission includes providing financial assistance to families of children battling cancer.
By bringing childhood cancer awareness onto the field, Commack’s student-athletes are demonstrating how sports can provide a powerful platform for service, compassion, and community impact.
